Can good come from grief?

Not right away.
Not in a way that ever will rectify the loss.
But in a way, even in pain…life can grow.
Grief has cracked me open.
It hardened me before making me softer.
It taught me to listen more, love deeper, and who to hold closer.
I became more human in my heartbreak.
More present. More aware.
After not being able to show up at all, I now show up differently—for myself.
It’s been almost impossible to find purpose in the season of pain.
I don’t feel more brave, but I do feel more real.
No, grief hasn’t left me better than before.
But maybe…gently, quietly…it is leaving me wiser.
And even in the deep ache, that can be kind of a gift.
